Hello, beautiful souls, and welcome back to the Soul Ignited podcast. I'm your host, Jackie Nees. Today is the final episode in our Coming Home to Yourself series. In the first episode, we talked about how women slowly lose themselves. And then in the next episode, we talked about remembering who you were before the world told you who to be. Today we're talking about what happens next. How do you actually begin creating a life that feels like yours again? Because awareness is powerful, but eventually something has to change. But before we get into that, let's pull a card. I'm pulling from the self-care wisdom cards this week by Cheryl Richardson, and I thought a message for self-care would be perfect with what we've been talking about. So let's see what we've got. Okay, the card is mind. And what it says is you are the master of your inner world, and you decide how the outer world affects you. Cultivate a calm inner state. This is perfect. This is perfect for what we've been talking about with coming home to yourself. And despite all of the conditioning, all of the past experiences, all of the things that um have caused you to lose touch with yourself, you have to remember that you are the master of your inner world. You run the show, you control your mindset. So you get to decide. You get to decide how the outer world affects what's going on within. So um just keep that in mind. And I love that card. That's a really good card. Okay, so I think one of the biggest misconceptions about transformation is that it has to happen all at once. Right? We set our mind to make this change, transform whether it's physical, mental, emotionally. Um we think it has to happen like right now, all at once. Everything changes now. We think we need to completely reinvent ourselves overnight. But real transformation usually happens through small intentional choices. Tiny moments where you begin to choose yourself again and again. Maybe for you it's finally setting a boundary. Maybe it's giving yourself permission to rest. Maybe it's saying no without over-explaining. Maybe it's signing up for the class. Maybe it's starting a business. Maybe taking ten quiet minutes in the morning to check in with yourself. These little small baby choices, they matter. Because every time you choose yourself, you strengthen your connection with who you truly are. I also think creating a life that feels aligned requires honesty. You have to become willing to ask, what no longer feels true for me? What drains me? What energizes me? What kind of life do I actually want to create? Sometimes those answers are uncomfortable. But we really got to get honest with ourselves if we want to make the changes that we say we want to make. If we want that transformation, we have to ask ourselves the hard questions. Sometimes growth requires letting go. Letting go of perfectionism, people pleasing, outdated versions of ourselves, letting go of the belief that everything and everyone else's needs must come before your own. You have to let that go. One thing I've learned is that joy is not frivolous. Joy matters. Peace matters. Fulfillment matters. You matter. You deserve a life that feels good to live. Not just a life that looks good from the outside. We don't need an Instagram highlight reel here. We need the real you. You living that life that lights you up. This is why I believe so strongly in intentional living. Check in with yourself. Listening to your intuition. Asking yourself what your soul truly needs. I call those soul check-ins. So asking yourself every day, what does my soul need today? What is my soul calling for right now? What does my body need? What do I need mentally, physically? Even small rituals can help bring you back home to yourself. They don't have to be big things. They can be things like a daily soul chicken, like I just talked about. Um journaling. Journaling is a small thing that creates big impact. So if you're not a journaler, I suggest you try journaling, see how it fits for you. Pulling tarot cards or oracle cards for reflection. That's a good practice to do every morning to see set the tone for the day and see what's coming up. Um, reflecting on what's going on in your own life, and journaling about that. You can use tarot to journal as a tool. Protecting quiet time. When you set out to have quiet time for yourself, that needs to be a non-negotiable. Like, this is the time that I have set for myself to reflect, to relax, to recharge. Um, it needs not to be interrupted, it needs to be your sacred time, or spending time in nature, reconnecting with creativity, get out some markers and pencils and um color and doodle. Um, I I find that when I'm on a phone call, um I tend to doodle, and it just helps keep my creativity flowing and gives my hand and my mind something to do while I'm while I'm talking. Not that I'm ignoring the person, but I'm you know fulfilling that other side of me that wants to play. Creating soul aligned goals. So these again can be small things, but things that feel good within your soul, things that um that matter. A soul aligned goal could be I want to read three books this month or that are on my nightstand, or one book. Um could be I want to start walking for 30 minutes every day out in nature. Um I want to contact three friends this month to or this week or whatever to have coffee or lunch. These soul aligned goals help bring you back to yourself, they help um align you with what's true for you and what your soul desires, and that is what matters. These goals don't have to be based on pressure, and they don't have to be goals based on proving yourself, but goals that genuinely light you up. Because at the end of the day, this journey is not about becoming perfect, it's about becoming more fully yourself. Remember that. If you're listening today, feeling like you still have a long way to go, I want you to hear this. You do not need to have everything figured out. You don't. You don't have to have it all together. You don't have to have it all figured out, you don't have to know what all the steps are. You just need to begin. You need to make the choice. You need to take that one baby step forward. One choice, one boundary, one honest moment, one brave step at a time. Thank you so much for joining me for this coming home to yourself series. My hope is that these episodes reminded you that your desires matter, your voice matters, your joy matters, and most of all, you matter. You're allowed to evolve. You're allowed to want more. You're allowed to create a life that lights you up. Here's your permission. If this series resonated with you, I would love for you to share it with somebody who may need these messages right now. And if you're feeling called to go deeper, you can explore my coaching sessions, tarot offerings, and resources designed to help you reconnect with yourself and create a life that feels aligned and meaningful. Thank you so much for being here with me. And until next time, be the light for yourself and others and do what ignites your soul. Bye, everybody.
